EKWC - MOCA RESEARCH
Ceramic Residency at the European Ceramic Work Center
Oisterwijk, The Netherlands
For three months, from November 2023 to February 7th, 2024, we resided and worked at the EKWC in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands. The objective was to concentrate on our ceramic work and develop our research "Moca."
We improved our ceramic skills and knowledge for our business, both in production processes and quality. We developed the dripping technique and machine we created further by changing the dripping materials to stoneware or porcelain to create stronger shapes. We unlocked some new ideas and possibilities for working on 2D patterns.
During the residency, we were asked to create a new collection of pieces for a show in Milan (See Reflective Midnight). We took the opportunity to be at the EKWC to make them and learn new clay hand-building skills.
