Open Structures

Dripping in progress

Moca is a continuous research where we push the boundaries of the ceramic world with an innovative technique.

Moca is a project divided into three ceramic researches: Open structures, graphics, and textures.

Open structures

By combining specific angles of moulds, rotation speed, and dripping flow, we managed to build volumes with different types of open structures.

The clay always takes the path of the previous drop and slowly creates layers of earthenware until it builds a shape.

These pieces are fragile experiments, we use them as a starting point for other design concepts.
